The Largest Number of Migrants from the Territory of Belarus Was Detained at the Border with Lithuania

All had documents of Iraqi citizens or introduced themselves as residents of this country.

The Lithuanian State Border Guard Service reported that, on July 27, Lithuanian border guards detained 171 illegal migrants from Belarus. This is a record figure in one day.

Note that, since the beginning of the year, Lithuanian border guards have detained more than 3,000 illegal migrants who came from the territory of Belarus. This is 37 times more than in the entire 2020.

In July 2021, border guards detained 2,366 migrants. In June, there were 473, in May - 77, in April - 70, in March - 8.
