Another Olympic day, the eighth, did not bring any awards to the national team of Belarus again. Some athletes finished their performances far from the medal "sorting", while others have just started to pass qualifying rounds, writes the website Interfax.
Track and field. Krystsina Tsimanouskaya took 4th place in her preliminary 100 m race and finished her performance in this discipline. Her result is 11.47.
Yauhen Bahutski took the 27th place in the discus throw qualification with a score of 58.65. The Belarusian did not reach the final.
Maksim Nedasekau reached the finals in the high jump with a score of 2.28. Nedasekau showed the 12th result in qualifying. Meanwhile, our compatriot Dzmitry Nabokau did not make it to the finals with a score of 2.25.
Boxing. Uladzislau Smyahlikau lost to David Nuke from New Zealand - 0:5 - in the quarter-finals of the Olympic Games-2020 in the category up to 91 kg.
Rowing. Tatsiana Klimovich finished first in the "C" finals. This is a competition among those athletes who took 13-17th places. Medal starts in this discipline took place without Belarusian participation.
Archery. Anna Marusava dropped out in the 1/8 finals of the individual championship, losing to Italian Lucilla Boari - 5:6.
Bullet shooting. Sports pistol, 25 m. Victoria Chaika took the 36th place with a score of 571-19x.
