Political Prisoner Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk Registered as “Prone to Hostage-Taking”

The illegal regime continues provocations against the European Belarus activist.

Brest activist of the European Belarus civil campaign, political prisoner Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk, was registered by the administration of the Homel women's colony as “a person prone to taking hostages, attacking the administration, and hooliganism.” The husband of the political prisoner, the European Belarus activist Andrei Sharenda, told about this, «Радыё Свабода» reports.

He also added that the administration of the colony drew up three protocols against Palina, and the political prisoner herself was in the punishment cell until mid-September.

Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk has been behind bars since January 3. She was sentenced to two years in prison.

Even during the “investigation” and being in the Brest pre-trial detention center, the European Belarus activist was placed in a punishment cell three times. In total, Palina spent 20 days in a punishment cell, she but continues to set an example of courage for other political prisoners and Belarusians at large.

Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk twice refused to write a “petition for clemency.” The brave European Belarus activist keeps good spirits and calls on all Belarusians to be courageous.
