Aleksandr Nevzorov: With My Ear Trained In Revolutions I Hear Real Volcanism In Belarus
ALEKSANDR NEVZOROV

Hurricane, typhoon and thunderstorms cannot be locked in the basement.

Russian journalist Aleksandr Nevzorov has commented on the situation in Belarus and the sentencing to Belarusian political prisoners Maryja Kalesnikava (11 years) and Maksim Znak (10 years).

"It's no longer a tragedy. These are the first flashes of real lightning," says Aleksandr Nevzorov on the Echo of Moscow. "This is an attempt to lock up a hurricane, a typhoon, thunderstorms in the basement. With my very experienced ear, trained in various revolutions, I can already hear real volcanism in this event, serious underground, tectonic grumbling.

I understand that very soon the doors of Belarusian jails and cells will fall down. Such things do not go unanswered. For there is a lot of fear and a lot of anger that has materialized in this verdict.

It is clear that it has nothing to do with justice, fairness and law".
