The "childhood" of a nation cannot last forever.
Former presidential candidate Viktar Babaryka sent a letter from the colony. The text of the letter is published by the political prisoner's telegram-channel:
- All patriotic literature in Belarus has been full of hope for liberation and the right to "be called people" for several centuries. But there is still no happiness.
It seems to me we are the last generation which has to break this vicious circle. It is this "waiting" that has been at the heart of all the acts that are done and have been done since the 20s. And if after all these events we still don't have enough willpower to bring the matter to its logical conclusion, there won't be a 101st time. The "childhood" of a nation cannot last forever.
