There Is Growing Shortage Of Health Care Workers In Minsk

Nurses and doctors remain the most sought-after professionals in the labour market.

More than a thousand nurses are wanted by medical institutions in Minsk. There are 1,040 vacancies for the query "nurse" in the database of the State Employment Service on January 14. It is by over 200 positions more than at the beginning of September 2021. At that time there were just over 800 vacancies for nurses, reports Euroradio.

The situation is the same for specialist doctors. There are currently 872 vacancies for them. In September 2021, there was a shortage of 716 doctors in the capital's health facilities.

Nurses and doctors remain the most sought-after professionals in the labor market in Minsk. It should be reminded that earlier the media repeatedly reported about the dismissal of medics who supported the protests.
