Annalena Baerbock: We Must Do Everything To Release Belarusian Political Prisoners

Germany stands in solidarity with the democratic forces of Belarus.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock spoke out about the situation in Belarus, reports Deutsche Welle. She said that Germany would do everything for the Belarusian political prisoners to go free:

"The situation in Belarus has not improved at all, even if its media coverage has slightly decreased in recent days.

There are almost a thousand political prisoners in the country, which means a thousand personal fates: fathers, mothers, students who have done nothing but express their opinions, run a blog, teach in a university or a school, who have children, parents, friends," said Annalena Baerbock, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany.

We must do everything we can to ensure that the political prisoners are given fair trials or that they are finally released.
