Ukrainian Army Advancing On Svatove: Battle Maps As Of October 7

The Russian front is crumbling in the south and east.

Ukrainian troops continue their attacks in the direction of Svatove-Kreminna and near the liberated Kupyansk. At the same time, the invaders are strengthening their positions near Bakhmut, Donetsk region.

It is reported by RBC-Ukraine with a reference to the data of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) and the Deepstatemap combat map.

Oskil - Kreminna line

ISW analysts claim that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are moving east of Kupyansk and have entered the settlement of Hlushkivka. It is likely that the Ukrainian army is strengthening reinforcements in this direction in order to advance towards Svatove.

However, Russian troops in this sector of the front are trying to slow down the movement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to experts, Russian troops are losing contact with Svatove and Kreminna, Luhansk region. At the same time, the enemy continues to control the R66 highway (Svatove-Kreminna road), and expect attacks from Ukrainian forces.

The Ukrainian map of hostilities confirms the advancement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this direction. The defenders liberated the village of Hrekivka in the Svatove line, and continued the offensive.

Donbas

The main goal of Russia in this direction remains the complete capture of the Donetsk region. The occupying troops have intensified attacks near Bakhmut and have achieved certain gains, which is confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russian leadership transferred militants from the Wagner PMC to the Bakhmut line. Probably, the mercenaries entered the villages of Vesela Dolyna and Zaitseve. At the same time, the invaders are shelling Bakhmut and the Donetsk-Avdiivka front.

According to the Deepstatemap, the enemy has intensified near Bakhmut, occupied the Vesela Dolyna and is located near Zaitseve. Active fighting continues on this sector of the front.

Kherson region

In the south of Ukraine, after vigorous counter-offensive actions, the pace of advancement slowed down. Analysts suggest that Ukrainian troops will regroup to continue the assaults.

According to ISW, the Russian army is stepping up defenses in the central part of the Kherson region in order to hold the Beryslav-Nova Kakhovka line. The invaders are digging trenches and moving radar protection systems.

Also, Russian troops tried to attack near Lyubomivka (27 km northwest of Kherson) in order to move the front. However, the assaults were unsuccessful.
