Lukashenka's Regime Introduces Death Penalty For 'Treason'

Will the dictator be shot for working for the Kremlin?

The Lukashenka regime has decided to introduce the death penalty for "treason". The so-called House of Representatives passed a bill "On Amendment of the Criminal Code".

According to it, the death penalty can be imposed on a person who has betrayed the state, an official or a serviceman.

"In order to have a deterrent effect on destructive elements and to demonstrate the decisive fight against treason, the draft law proposes to amend the sanction of Article 356 (2) of the Criminal Code by introducing the possibility of imposing the exceptional punishment of capital punishment for treason, committed by an official holding public office or a person who has the status of a member of the armed forces. In this regard, Articles 58 and 59 of the Criminal Code are also adjusted," reads the commentary of the press service of the "house of representatives".

We remind that Belarus is the only state in Europe, which does not impose a moratorium on the death penalty. It is worth noting that Lukashenka, who actively works for the Kremlin by selling Belarusian sovereignty, may himself be shot for "treason".
