The Russian company did not reserve gas-pumping capacities through the Yamal-Europe pipeline.
Gazprom did not reserve gas-pumping capacities through the Yamal-Europe pipeline for March, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the GSA Platform.
The volumes of 89.1 million cubic meters per day offered at the auction remained unclaimed. Gazprom also did not reserve additional capacity for a month in advance through Ukraine.
Refusal to supply gas through a pipeline path in Belarus and Poland means that gas transit through Belarus in March is possible if the supplier buys capacities at short auctions.
Recall that the Yamal-Europe transnational gas pipeline passes through the territory of four countries: Russia, Belarus, Poland and Germany. Gazprom stopped reserving gas pumping capacities through this pipeline from December 20 last year. As a result, since December 21, almost all the time, the pipeline has been operating in reverse mode, that is, the flow of gas has been going from Germany to Poland.
