District Police Officer Shoots Villager In The Leg Near Uzda

A 38-year-old resident of the village of Kukhtsichy was taken to hospital.

Today, around noon, a police brigade from the Uzda District Department of Internal Affairs arrived in the village of Kukhtsichy to deal with a family scandal, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

The 38-year-old man left the house before the arrival of the policemen, but was caught on the street.

“By appearances, the man was drunk. Seeing the policemen, he went towards them with a knife in his hands,” the officers say.

It is reported that “the attacker did not respond to repeated demands to drop his weapon, so the district police officer used a service pistol. The suspect was taken to the hospital with a leg injury”.
