Media: Supporter of the "Russian World" Kills Engineer at Peleng Plant Who Supported Change and Ukraine

The conflict at the Belarusian plant arose because of the war in Ukraine.

According to readers of zerkalo.io, a 50-year-old worker of the Peleng plant in Minsk killed an engineer of his unit. According to our readers, everything happened after working hours, and one of the possible reasons for the conflict is political.

The deceased is 26 years old. He was working as a production engineer. The other person involved in the conflict was a worker in his 50s. Both are employees of the same department.

- On the morning of 7 April, investigators came to the plant, interviewed people from the unit. That's how we found out what happened," said Peleng employees. - Besides, we have our chats at the plant. In the morning, an obituary for a young man appeared there, but then it was removed. Allegedly, it could interfere with the investigation.

Colleagues do not know what exactly happened between the men. According to a version, on April 6, a production engineer and a worker were together and at some point the worker killed the engineer.

- Allegedly, a conflict arose between them over the situation in Ukraine. The engineer was on the side of Ukraine, the worker on the side of Russia. It is not known whether it is true. People from different departments discuss it," colleagues say.

A second source also told us that this version was discussed at the enterprise.

The engineer's friends refused to talk about the situation. We were unable to get a quick comment from the press service of the IC Minsk. No information on the situation was published in the official telegraph channel of the Investigative Committee.

- The deceased was a nice, quiet guy. In 2020, he was one of those who supported change and did not hide his views. He was seriously into football. His father has recently. His mother is the only one left," an acquaintance of the young man told us.
