The event has been cancelled for the second year in a row.

Minsk will not hold the military parade on the so-called "Independence Day" on July 3 in 2022. This information is provided by the representative of the Ministry of Defense, reports belarus.kp.ru.

According to Aliaksei Titski, deputy chief of the main ideological work of the Defense Ministry, the main feature of the state holiday - the military parade - won't be held in 2022.

"There will be no military parade on Independence Day in Belarus. Naturally, if there was one, preparations would have been made in advance," he pointed out.

Regarding the cancellation of the military parade on July 3, says Inna Adamovich, head of the Main Department of State Special Cultural Events and Professional Art of the Ministry of Culture, it is associated with the decision of the authorities taken earlier. According to her, several years ago it was decided to hold parades only on anniversary dates.

We remind you that in 2021, the military parade on July 3 was cancelled for the first time since 1999.

According to political analyst Valeryj Karbalevich, Lukashenka became paranoid after the beginning of the so-called "conspiracy case".

In particular, Lukashenka is concerned about the fate of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, who was assassinated during a parade in 1981.

"And the report of the Russian FSB, which actively contributed to the exposure of the 'conspiracy', said that a coup was going to be organized in Minsk on May 9 during the Victory Parade," said the political analyst.
