Polish Prime Minister Visits The Border With Belarus

Mateusz Morawiecki saw the fence on the Polish-Belarusian border.

Poland has completed the construction of a 5-meter metal fence along the border with Belarus over 186 km long. On Thursday, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited the border on this occasion.

Construction of the wall began in January 2022 and was a consequence of the migration crisis, which was artificially created by official Minsk in 2021. The cost of the project was 353 million euros.

Morawiecki notes that Poland has implemented the project in time. Otherwise, it would have had to keep a lot of forces near the border with Belarus now. "Thanks to a shrewd policy, today we can focus on what is our and Europe's highest priority - assistance to Ukraine, which is struggling," the prime minister said.
