The risk of Belarus' direct participation in the war on the side of Russia will grow in proportion to the possible successes of the Russian army on the territory of Ukraine.

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba in an interview with LB.ua.

“Firstly, Russia is already using the Belarusian territory. If we are talking about the Belarusian army, I think that this risk will grow in proportion to the possible successes of the Russian army on the territory of Ukraine. As long as the Belarusian army clearly understands that the Armed Forces of Ukraine can seriously beat them, they will delay their participation in every possible way. For now, they are clearly aware of this,” he said.

Commenting on the current diplomatic communication with Belarus, the Foreign Minister noted that “these are very, very limited contacts”.
