Leonid Nevzlin: Putin's Own Society Sweep Him Away In Case Of Lost War

The head of the Kremlin does not have many cards in his deck.

Leonid Nevzlin is a businessman and philanthropist. Previously, he was one of the leaders and co-owners of the Yukos Oil Company and a member of the Russian Federation Council, gave an interview to the #вТРЕНДde Youtube project by Deutsche Welle. Leonid Nevzlin expressed the opinion that Russia is waiting for reformatting in a conversation with journalist Konstantin Eggert:

— Russia must disintegrate, in order to be happy and full-fledged. It must disintegrate in order to reunite again, one way or another, in certain parts or associations in which people will live comfortably. After all the country is to be for people, instead of people for the country.

Leonid Nevzlin believes that if the West fully enters the war against Russia, the head of the Kremlin will ask for peace:

— Putin doesn't have many cards in the deck. He has nothing but a tactical and strategic nuclear button. I don't understand why you have to chop a cat's tail piece by piece, it hurts. We need to chop it off with a single move.

I mean military support for Ukraine by saying 'cutting off the tail'. I'm also talking about closing the skies and giving Ukraine such weapons that will help protect itself and will have a sufficient striking range to shell Russian territory in such a way that Putin hurts.

If this is not enough for him, then he will need to move on to NATO military operations against Russia and declare war on him. After that, he sits on his ass and asks for peace.

“Any Putin's defeat will become the last one. If he loses this war (and I hope he will lose it), he will be swept away by his own society,” said Leonid Nevzlin.
