Invaders Get Lost Near Kharkiv, Smashed By Armed Forces Of Ukraine

The Russian commanders got mixed up in the topography, and paid a heavy price.

In February, one of the columns of the invaders was to advance on Kharkiv. However, the Russians got mixed up in the topography, got lost, and went the wrong way. Along the way they were beaten by Ukrainian defenders.

This story was shared by the head of the Derhachiv community Vyacheslav Zadorenko in a conversation with the Kharkiv press club, UNIAN reports.

“Russian troops regrouped, and on the 26th [February] moved in a column to the city of Kharkiv. However, they got confused in the topography, in the maps,” Zadorenko said.

According to the head of the community, a group of invaders went to the settlement of Bezruki and tried to take a shortcut in order to be on the outskirts of Derhachiv.

“In these meadows, we started beating them [the invaders], they jumped out, mixed up again, turned not to the left, but to the right and moved towards the Zolochiv community (in the opposite direction from Kharkiv — UNIAN),” Zadorenko added.

According to him, when the invaders went up the hill, they were met by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ukrainian defenders began to strike at the grouping, as a result of which the column was divided. One part moved to Karasivka, and the other — to Sosnivka.
