Ukrainian Intelligence: Anti-War Sentiments Grow Among Russian Intelligentsia

They announced a list of artists who spoke out against Putin's aggression.

The Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine believes that anti-war sentiments are growing among the Russian creative intelligentsia, according to the press service of the department.

“The Russian creative intelligentsia is increasingly expressing a clear anti-war opinion. Their main messages are simple and clear: all contradictions are resolved through dialogue, human life is the highest value, and the money spent on the war should go to the development of education, science and medicine,” the report reads.

In particular, the Defence Intelligence noted that Russian musician Yuri Shevchuk was recently fined on charges of "discrediting the Russian army". He said at a concert: "Motherland is not the president's ass."

The Defence Intelligence also showed Shevchuk's statement at the trial about "non-acceptance of the war in general", also the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

The department believes that Andrey Makarevich, Boris Grebenshchikov, Zemfira Ramazanova, Little Big, Morgenstern, Maxim Pokrovsky and others “rendered unambiguous against the war”.
