Military Expert: Two More Big Bangs Await Crimea

One of them may happen in Sevastopol.

Military expert Oleg Zhdanov predicts that the recent "bangs" in Crimea are just the beginning. There should be more, because there are many military facilities on the occupied peninsula.

As he told the FreeDom project, two major "bangs" are expected to occur in Crimea. One is in Sevastopol at the Kalibr missile depot, which they load on submarines and ships and then launch on mainland Ukraine.

"The Crimean bridge should be the first in the line. Why? It is the major artery for supplying troops," the military expert believes.

The journalist asked Zhdanov whether Ukraine can take advantage of this situation in Crimea and the weakening of Russian troops to de-occupy the peninsula.

"I think that these 'bangs' will all then flow into a military operation to liberate Crimea," Zhdanov said.

On August 16, an ammunition detonation happened at an ammunition depot in the military unit, the village of Mayskoye, Dzhankoy region, Crimea.

The Russian side says there was a "fire" in the military unit at the ammunition storage site. Later, the Russian side claimed sabotage.

On August 9, a series of explosions and a fire broke out at the Saki airfield in Crimea near Novofedorivka. The explosions destroyed at least nine aircraft.
