Belarus Bans Holding Baptismal Ceremonies?

Lukashists in Homel are threatening a pastor for administering one of the main Christian sacraments.

Pastor Dzmitry Padlobka of the Homel community of Full Gospel Christians "Living Faith" is threatened with a criminal case if he performs the baptismal ceremony. He wrote about it on his «Фейсбуке».

At the end of July, Padlobka was sentenced for a baptismal ceremony held in the courtyard of a private house. This was assessed as an unauthorised mass event. The pastor was fined 640 roubles (20 basic units).

And on August 24, the police warned the pastor not to violate the law on mass events again:

"They warned me that if there was another violation of the law, it could be a criminal case. As a bonus I was informed that a district police officer would meet with me personally every month for a year to carry out preventive work".
