The Turkish President refused a joint press conference, did not drink water and did not stay for dinner.

The Russian Kommersant news publisher reported that the meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi did not go according to plan. The planned press conference following the results did not take place, and the Turkish leader himself was afraid to drink and eat in Russia.

The publication reported that Russia agreed that Tayyip Erdogan would not be tested upon arrival in Sochi, “but at least the appearance of distance” would be kept and he would not breathe on Vladimir Putin.

In turn, the latter did not respond to the trolling by the Turkish president in Iran. He came on time and in every possible way showed his disposition to the Turkish "great friend".

The negotiations lasted about 4 hours. Both in private and with the participation of the members of the delegations.

"And it was chaotic. The presidents called someone they needed from time to time, and then let them go, continuing to talk face to face. According to Kommersant's information, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, who represents the Muslim part of Russia at such meetings, was not in demand by the leaders during the negotiations and was involved on the sidelines,” Andrei Kolesnikov, a Kommersant journalist, said.

At the same time, they abandoned the extended part of the negotiations with the participation of all members of the delegations, as well as the traditional introductory speech to journalists in such cases.

“Recep Tayyip Erdogan and members of his delegation flew home immediately after the end of the negotiations. The Turkish president did not even stay for a cooked dinner (as in Iran two weeks ago), and during the four-hour negotiations he managed with tea and coffee,” the Russian edition reported.
