AFU Shut Down 'Mousetrap' For Russian Army In Liman

The Ukrainian military has entered the village of Drobysheve near the town.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have almost completely surrounded the temporarily occupied Liman in Donetsk Region. This became possible after Ukrainian defenders entered the village of Drobysheve, near Liman, on Wednesday, September 21.

The entry of Ukrainian units into the said village was reported by dialog.ua, citing its sources and Telegram channels.

"Russian public pages write that Ukrainian forces have driven the enemy out of the village of Drobysheve. The day before, the AFU occupied Yarova. Thus, the occupied Liman is almost completely surrounded," Ukrainian military correspondent Andrey Tsaplienko wrote, in turn, on his Telegram channel.

The capture of Liman will open the way for the Ukrainian military to the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk Region, in particular in the direction of Kremenna and Rubizhne.

We remind you that last week it became known about the liberation of the village of Yatskivka, which is located north-west of Liman. It was reported that the Ukrainian army was "cutting off" Liman for a counterattack on Severodonetsk and Lysychansk.

It was also reported that the village of Shchurove, which is located only 12 km away from Liman, had been de-occupied. A video of the Ukrainian military hoisting a state flag over this village was published online.
