FSB Began To Ban Russians From Leaving Country

This is due to the mass exodus of Russians from mobilization.

There is a mass exodus of Russian citizens, frightened by mobilization. Traffic jams stretched for kilometres at the borders with neighbouring states because of this. The number of people leaving for Finland jumped by 107% pushing the Kremlin to take radical measures.

The Russian FSB Border Service began to ban citizens from travelling to Kazakhstan, according to Pavel Chikov, the head of the Agora.

Men who are trying to cross the border receive a notice of refusal to pass through the checkpoint with reference to 31-FZ (the Federal Law “On Mobilization and Preparations for Mobilisation”). The document refers to the initiator of the travel restriction as the "Military Commissariat of the place of registration". Chikov published the notices dated 25 and 26 September.

Sources in the presidential administration told Meduza that the Russian nationwide decision to ban travel for men of mobilization age may be made after the end of the collection of the so-called referendums votes in the occupied regions of Ukraine.

According to one of the sources of the publication, it is planned to introduce a semblance of "exit visas": in order to leave Russia, men will have to obtain permission from the military commissariats.

The most likely date for the introduction of the ban is September 28, that is, the day after the completion of voting in the DPR, LPR and in the occupied territories of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.
