AFU Launch Counterattack Near Vuhledar

The marines of the 40th brigade launched a successful offensive against the Russian positions.

The Ukrainian military launched a successful counterattack near Ugledar, Donetsk Oblast, while the enemy does not abandon its attempts to deprive Bakhmut of supplies.

Luhansk direction: occupants accumulate forces for an attempted counterattack near Kreminna

Russian forces continue attacks to regain lost positions on the Svatove-Kreminna line. It is reported that the occupants continue to accumulate manpower and military equipment in the area and have advanced slightly towards Kreminna. The AFU repulsed attacks by Russian forces near Yampolivka (16 km west of Kreminna) in Donetsk Oblast.

Occupants also struck Ukrainian supply routes in the area and advanced in the forest west of Kreminna.

Russian forces continued ground attacks around Bakhmut on February 1. The Wagner PMC says that as of February 1, Russian troops still failed to capture Bakhmut in an operational encirclement, and denied reports that Russian forces had taken control of the village 17 km north of Bakhmut.

Geolocation combat footage shows that occupants have advanced slightly to the northeast of Bakhmut near Krasna Gora and on the northeastern edge of Bakhmut, as well as south of Bakhmut near Opytne. Russian sources claim persistently that Russian forces were advancing northwest of the Klishchevka area to cut the T0504 Konstantinovka - Chasov Yar - Bakhmut highway.

As reported, the AFU launched a counterattack near Ugledar, southwest of Donetsk. Geolocation footage shows units of the 40th Marine Brigade attacking Ukrainian positions southwest of Ugledar. Russian forces continue to use the TOS-1A thermobaric artillery system near Ugledar.

Southern direction: the occupants continue shelling the islands near Kherson

The invaders continued shelling islands in the Dnipro River delta in Kherson Oblast to prevent Ukrainian forces from gaining a foothold on them. It is reported that Russian troops are unlikely to be able to regain their lost positions in the region.

The Russian Defense Ministry said Russian troops destroyed two motorboats near Lake Krugle, about 5 km south of Kherson. The Russian Federation says that combat operations in Zaporizhzhia Oblast are underway along the entire front line, but are mainly concentrated around Orekhovo and Gulyaypol.
