Journalist Dzianis Ivashyn was taken to the hospital after being transferred to a colony, according to the Dzianis Ivashyn Telegram channel.

After arriving at the colony, Ivashyn had a temperature of 39, so instead of quarantine, he was sent to the hospital. According to the channel, Ivashyn was so ill that he could not write.

Ivashyn was sentenced to 13 years and 1 month in prison. He was found guilty of treason against the state. He collaborated with the Novy Chas publication, and was a member of the Ukrainian initiative Informnapalm, he is known for his investigations. His last piece for Novy Chas was an article about ex-employees of the Ukrainian Berkut who fled the country, got a job in the Belarusian law enforcement agencies and participated in the dispersal of protests. On January 17, he was transferred from Hrodna to the Mahiliou penal colony.
