AFU Captured Wagner Fighter From Umbrella Special Unit

The Ukrainian military in Donbas captured an interesting specimen - a Wagner figther from the Umbrella special unit.

An excerpt of the interrogation of the Russian mercenary was shot on video. It is available on the Telegram channel "Ukraine 365".

The prisoner was a convict, recruited in the Wagner PMC by Evgeny Prigozhin. The mercenary was assigned to a special unit "Umbrella". It includes severely diagnosed with HIV and hepatitis.

He had a red bracelet, indicating that he was infected with the HIV virus.

"Our Umbrella task force helps them, the Wagner fighters. We're all patients: HIV and hepatitis. A red bracelet means HIV; a white one means hepatitis... Prigozhin from Wagner arrived and said that recruitment was underway. We, as patients, are at will. He said that we'd be carrying corpses there," the prisoner said.

He was recruited in a colony in Russia's Engels,. He served there almost half of his two-year prison sentence for robbery.

It is worth noting that Russian human rights activists say that more than 50,000 Russian convicts have been recruited to join the ranks of Wagner. They are mainly deployed in the Bakhmut direction, using them as cannon fodder. The command does not spare the mercenaries; the losses in their ranks are enormous.
