Ukrainian Paratroopers Capture Russians In 'Fire Pocket' Near Marinka

The occupants fled, dropping their weapons and wounded.

Ukrainian paratroopers forced Russian occupants to flee, dropping their weapons and wounded near Marinka, Donetsk Region.

This was reported by the press service of the Airborne Assault Troops of the AFU.

Thus, the other day, the enemy with the forces of an infantry platoon tried to approach stealthily to the positions of one of the military units in order to seize them by a sudden assault. To do this the enemy fighters moved along the landing.

"However, the air reconnaissance team spotted the enemy's advance in time. The commander of the airborne unit decided to let the assaulting unit of the occupiers get a little closer, so that it would come to a well-aimed position. In essence, the fire pocket had been prepared for the enemy in advance," the press service said.

When the enemy infantry entered the designated area, the paratroopers opened targeted fire on it with machine guns and grenade launchers.

"After suffering numerous losses, the occupants fled, dropping their weapons and wounded comrades," the Airborne Assault Troops added.
