A new list for imposing restrictions is being drawn up.

The Polish authorities intend to impose new sanctions against the Belarusian officials in response to sentencing journalist Andrzej Poczobut. This was stated by Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration of Poland Mariusz Kaminski.

"I've instructed my services to prepare applications for adding people associated with Lukashenka's regime, responsible for repression of Poles in Belarus, to the sanctions list," he wrote.

Earlier, the website reported that Poland was closing the checkpoint "Bobrowniki" on the border with Belarus. The head of the Polish Interior Ministry said the decision to close "Bobrowniki" crossing point was made "for the sake of national security".

On February 8, the Hrodna Regional Court sentenced journalist, member of the Union of Poles in Belarus Andrzej Poczobut to 8 years in a strict regime penal colony.
