Ukraine Responds To Putin & Lukashenka's Nuclear Blackmail

The reaction of the National Security and Defense Council and the Zelensky Office.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov commented on the statement of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.

According to him, this is a step towards the internal destabilization of the country. He wrote about this on his Twitter.

“Putin's statement about the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus is a step towards the internal destabilization of the country, and it maximizes the level of negative perception and public rejection of Russia and Putin in the Belarusian society,” he stated.

Danilov also added that by doing so, the Kremlin actually took Belarus as a nuclear hostage.

The reaction of the Office of the President of Ukraine

Mikhaylo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, expects Europe to increase sanctions against Russia in response to its decision to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.

He called for restrictions against Rosatom. He voiced his opinion on the LCI TV channel.

At the same time, Podolyak also called for an increase in the supply of weapons to Ukraine for the counteroffensive due to the lack of 155-mm shells, tanks and tactical ammunition in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“It is necessary to increase the military potential of Ukraine for a counteroffensive and strengthen sanctions against Russia,” the representative of the Presidential Office noted.
