In Russia, Powder Factory Producing Charges For MLRS, Cruise Missiles Catches Fire

In Russia, a fire broke out at the Perm gunpowder factory. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The information about a fire in a building on Galperin Street in the Kirovsky district of Perm was received by the Ministry of Emergency Situations yesterday at 19.41. Arriving at the scene, firefighters found that a fire had occurred in an electrical panel located on the outer wall of the administrative building.

24 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and six pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. At 20:14 the fire was extinguished.

The Perm Powder Plant is one of the main enterprises of the military-industrial complex of the Kama region. It produces charges for multiple launch rocket systems, air defense systems, engine charges for aircraft missiles, booster systems for cruise missiles, products for the A-135 missile defense system, and spherical gunpowder for small arms.
