Defense Intelligence: Russian Authorities Fled Several Settlements Near Border With Ukraine

The uprising, caused by the fighters of the RVC and the Freedom of Russia Legion, is gaining momentum.

In the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, where detachments of the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Freedom of Russia Legion remain, a number of settlements are no longer controlled by the Kremlin.

This was stated by the representative of the Defense Intelligence of the MoD of Ukraine Andriy Yusov.

According to him, the uprising continues on the territory of the Belgorod region and is gaining momentum and scale. Some settlements located near the border with Ukraine have already been abandoned by the Russian authorities.

At the same time, the DI did not specify the settlements.

“There are several settlements on the border, from which the Rashist authorities have actually left. In principle, there is no power there now,” Yusov said.

He added that representatives of the rebels and the resistance movement “are now actively operating, including in the capital region”.

Ukrainian intelligence adds that so far there have been no serious clashes and battles between Russian rebels in the Belgorod region and regular troops, and “we will see them later,” since Russian dictator Vladimir Putin still keeps the main forces of the RF AF in Ukraine as an occupying contingent.

Yusov added that the operation of the RVC and Freedom of Russia Legion showed the whole world that “the king is naked”, the Kremlin regime is exhausted and cannot organize the defense of its borders, and in the meantime “the uprising is only gaining momentum and scale”.
