The verdict in the case of corruption in Gazprom Transgaz Belarus was issued in Minsk, BelTA reports. Top managers were sent to a medium-security colony and those who gave a bribe - open prison.

Top managers were accused of accepting large and especially large bribes. According to the case file, from January 2019 to March 2022, officials of Gazprom Transgaz Belarus received a total of more than BYR 208,000 for assistance in conducting tender procedures, concluding and executing contracts, and installing equipment. The head of a private company was accused of giving a bribe.

The court sentenced Andrei Shaban, Deputy General Director for Production, to 7.5 years in a penal colony and a fine of BYR 185,000. Ihar Hedranovich, the head of the Automation Production Department, received the same term and fine.

Vadzim Demeshko, the head of the Competitive Procurement Department of the Department of Logistics and Procurement, was sentenced to 3 years in a penal colony and a fine of BYR 111,000.

The representative of the private enterprise, Tsimur Klyuyev, was found guilty of giving a large bribe using his official powers. He was sentenced to 2.5 years of open prison and a fine of BYR 111,000.

In connection with the amnesty, all of them had their terms reduced by a year.
