Shoigu Presents Hitting Tractor As Destruction Of Leopard 2 Tank

The head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is not able to distinguish agricultural machinery from military equipment.

The Russian military allegedly destroyed 8 German Leopard tanks while repulsing the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

“On June 5, the Kyiv regime attempted an offensive in seven directions with the forces of five brigades. It was stopped, suffered even more tangible losses: more than 1,600 military personnel, 28 tanks, including 8 Leopards and 3 AMX-10 wheeled tanks, 136 units of other military equipment, including 79 foreign,” the minister said.

Shoigu assured that the forces of the Russian Defense Ministry allegedly managed to “thwart attempts” of Ukraine's counteroffensive. “The enemy has been stopped, Russian soldiers and officers have shown courage and heroism in battles. I repeat, the enemy did not achieve their goals, suffered significant and incomparable losses,” the minister noted again.

As evidence, a video appeared on the Telegram channel of the department, which even Z-bloggers have already criticized. According to them, the hit target was a John Deere 4830 agricultural tractor-sprayer — its wheels are clearly visible in the frame. “It went into the reports of the Ministry of Defense as the German Leopard 2. And after all, Konashenkov’s department did not hesitate to post this. A disgrace, we simply have no words,” write the authors of one of the channels.

On the night of June 6, spokesman for the RF Ministry of Defense Igor Konashenkov also reported on the destroyed 8 Leopards. From these statements it follows that the Russian army destroyed every seventh such tank in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As of May 30, Ukraine received a total of 60 Leopards 2, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said.

Evgeny Prigozhin, the founder of the Wagner PMC, did not believe in the data of the Ministry of Defense either. “I think that Baron Munchausen is nothing compared to them. And judging by what is written here, we will soon get to the aliens. <...> This is just from the realm of wild, insane fantasy. In general, you need to add up all the numbers that Konashenkov gives. I think that we have just destroyed the entire planet Earth five times,” he said.
