The “towers” of the Kremlin continue to sort things out among themselves.
According to media reports, after the liquidation of Yevgeny Prigozhin, the Kremlin fears a new military rebellion.
How did the crash of the jet of the Wagner PMC leader two months after the riot affect Putin's government and the Russian elites, should we expect another riot? The Charter97.org website spoke about this with the reserve Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, pilot-instructor Roman Svitan:
— If the first rebellion did not end with some action, and it did not, then most likely there will be a repetition of some level. The instigators of the first mutiny can act as its driving forces, since it was not Prigozhin who raised it, there are people standing behind it. It is from the “towers” of the Kremlin that they cannot sort themselves out, so I think that it will definitely happen. The only question is who will lead it and how, but this is already a question for specialists in Moscow “towers”, political experts.
— Analysts say that Putin's role as an arbiter between various Kremlin factions has been significantly weakened. How can this affect the war against Ukraine? Did the Ukrainian special services have new “windows of opportunity” in connection with the latest events in the Russian Federation?
— This will not affect the war in any way, because the department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is engaged in the war, which does not participate much in all these squabbles. To “minus” the same Prigozhin, who did not obey the order, is a standard job and does not affect the fighting in any way. Therefore, all these intra-Kremlin squabbles will not immediately affect the war in the literal sense of the word. If some policy change is made, then yes. But again, policy change is not a squabble. That is, they will either remove or replace the same Putin, or they will expand the vision of the situation. The military follow the order, no one will do anything without the order, so at the moment it has no effect.
— Lukashenka gave “personal security guarantees” to Prigozhin. How will the death of the Wagner boss affect the Belarusian dictator?
— The fact is that he also gave guarantees to Prigozhin that no one would touch him on the land of Belarus, so he invited everyone to the country. And the man was not destroyed on the land of Belarus, at least in the media, there are still big questions whether that was Prigozhin in fact. But he was destroyed in the media in the air of Russia, and what does Lukashenka have to do with the air of Russia? On the ground of Belarus, the “Wagnerites” were not touched, that's all. Therefore, by and large, even from this point of view, either death, or life, or media death of Prigozhin remains absolutely insignificant.
