Russian Attack De-Energises Ukrainian Mykolaiv, Almost Entire Region

Emergency shutdowns have been introduced.

Ukrainian Mykolaiv and 70% of the region have been without power supply for more than a day due to the consequences of a massive rocket attack that occurred on the night of November 28.

This is reported by MikVisti. On the night of November 28, Russian troops carried out a massive missile attack on Ukraine. As a result of the attack, the energy infrastructure was damaged, which led to large-scale blackouts in many regions, in particular in Mykolaiv region.

The light in the town disappeared at around 6:40am on November 28, Minsk time. Despite attempts to restore supplies, electricity appeared only briefly in the evening before disappearing again. Vitali Kim, chairman of the RMA, assured that the damage had already been found and the power supply would be restored by lunchtime on November 29.

It was previously reported that on November 28, 2024, Russia carried out one of the largest massive combined attacks on Ukraine's energy sector, using nearly 100 Shaheds and other UAVs and then hitting Ukraine with 91 missiles (Kalibrs from the sea, Kh-101 missiles from Tu-95 planes, Kh-59/69 air missiles and ballistic missiles at Kharkiv). The air defence shot down 79 missiles and 35 drones. The main target of the enemy was the energy sector.

Emergency blackouts were introduced in Mykolaiv.
