The situation in Kursk region remains unpredictable.
The Ukrainian troops are using manoeuvre tactics of combat operations in Kursk region. Wherever the enemy is trying to advance, believing that he already has an advantage, we are manoeuvring, conducting a counterstrike, recapturing a number of positions and creating a firewall of grey zones, respectively, the enemy cannot enter this or that territory.
Army General Mykola Malomuzh, former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, said this on the air of the Great Lviv Talking YouTube channel.
During combat missions, the AFU is actively using UAVs, HIMARS, M270, eliminating personnel of the Russian army, as well as using water obstacles, primarily the Seim River, accordingly forming powerful logistical routes and fortresses.
‘It won't be easy for the enemy,’ the analyst predicted. ‘I want to remind you that Putin ordered to push our troops out of Kursk region by October 1. But you see, in this situation, no Putin's instructions have worked, so North Korean troops (up to 3,000 soldiers) are being thrown to the Kursk region in the first place, in order to strengthen the Russian grouping and not to remove additional forces from Pokrovsk, Kurakhovo and other directions, where they will continue to advance.’
Malomuzh also stressed that Ukraine should practice operations similar to Kursk in other regions of the Russian Federation, particularly in Bryansk and Belgorod regions. The most important thing is to observe the effect of surprise. But, unfortunately, so far we do not have enough forces and means to implement such plans.
