New details of the drone attack.
On November 6, the Russian city of Kaspiysk was attacked by drones. The local port was hit.
This was reported by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) Andriy Kovalenko.
"A port was attacked in the Russian city of Kaspiysk," he said.
In particular, according to Kovalenko, there are ships of the Russian Navy in Kaspiysk.
What is known about the port in Kaspiysk
Kaspiysk is the main base of the Red Banner Caspian Flotilla of the Russian Navy. It is located in Dagestan, 15 km from Makhachkala, in the city of Kaspiysk.
According to open sources, units of the Russian coastal troops, including the marines, are based here. The garrison numbers about 1,500 people.
In particular, in Kaspiysk are located:
a landing site where ships and hovercraft are located, excluded from the fleet (previously part of the 242nd division of landing ships), used for training marines;
fuel and lubricant bases;
an arsenal of coastal troops;
a training ground.
