Top Engineer Liquidated In Moscow Was Ideologist Of Introducing AI Into Drones

New details of the operation GUR became known.

Mikhail Shatsky, deputy general designer, head of functional software department of Mars Design Bureau, was shot dead in Kuzminsky forest park near the town of Kotelniki.

According to a UNIAN source in the Ukrainian Defence Forces, the Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate may be involved in his killing.

Shatsky worked at the federal state unitary enterprise Moscow Mars Experimental Design Bureau, which is a subsidiary of the Rosatom state nuclear energy holding company.

According to the source, Shatsky was in charge of upgrading Kh-59 cruise missiles to the level of the Kh-69, and colleagues considered him the main ideologist of introducing artificial intelligence into UAVs and other Russian flying and space vehicles:

‘We remind you that every person who is involved in one way or another in developing the Russian military-industrial complex and thus supports Russian aggression against Ukraine is a legitimate target for the Defence Forces.’
