Zelensky Introduces New Commander Of Ground Forces

The President of Ukraine held a Headquarters meeting in Zaporizhzhia.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief today, December 12. In particular, the issue of air defense was discussed.

“I held a meeting of the Headquarters today right here, and first of all on air defense, stabilization of the front, achieving our main security tasks,” the head of state noted.

He added that Ukraine needs real peace, so it is necessary to be really strong. Also, according to him, it is necessary to do everything so that every day brings Ukraine closer to peace.

During his visit to Zaporizhzhia, the head of state also introduced the new commander of the Ground Forces Mykhailo Drapaty to the Ukrainian generals.

“I am grateful for the trust to lead the most powerful, most numerous branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For my part, I will do everything to ensure that the type develops, acquires the necessary capabilities and is ready for all the challenges that await us in the future. People, technologies as management processes are my priorities,” Drapaty noted.

In turn, the head of state clarified that the new commander of the Ground Forces has already been given clear tasks and he is ready to fulfill them.
