Joe Biden's position is unequivocal.
The United States of America will not send its soldiers to take part in combat operations on the territory of Ukraine. This was stated by the representative of the National Security Council Adrian Watson, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to Le Monde.
"President Joe Biden has made it clear that the United States will not send troops to fight in Ukraine," said Watson.
Thus, the White House responded to the statements of French President Emmanuel Macron, who did not rule out such a possibility in the long term.
Watson added that Biden believes that victory requires military assistance, which is now blocked by Congress.
We remind you that on February 26 a working meeting of about 20 European leaders was held at the Elysee Palace in Paris. The participants discussed ways to confront Russia and possible ways to help Ukraine to resist the aggressor amid the aggravation of the situation on the front in recent weeks.
In particular, at the summit, French President Emmanuel Macron did not rule out that NATO would bring in troops to help Ukraine. The main problem, he said, is that so far there is no consensus on this issue.
