37-Year-Old Activist Uladzimir Siarheyeu Died In Belarus

The man had a daughter.

Democratic activist Uladzimir Siarheyeu died on Sunday, March 24.

This was reported on Facebook by former political prisoner, leader and founder of the Young Belarus movement and one of the ex-leaders of the Young Front Artur Finkevich.

It is known that Uladzimir Siarheyeu was in the hospital in Maryina Horka on a lung ventilator, where he died. He was 37 years old and had a daughter.

Uladzimir Siarheyeu joined the democratic movement in 2006. Over the years, he was an activist in a number of democratic organizations — Young Front, Young Belarus, Young Democrats, Alternative. He took part in most mass demonstrations of the Belarusian opposition in the second half of the 2000s and early 2010s.

In 2008, Uladzimir was a defendant in the “Fourteen process”.
