Mahiliou Resident Asks Lukashenka For Help, But Police Comes To Her Instead

She was detained.

A woman from Mahiliou published in TikTok an appeal to Aliaksandr Lukashenka with a request for help because of "lawlessness of the police" after the officers of the Kastrychnitski police department detained her son. This was reported by the human rights project of MAYDAY.TEAM.

On March 30, the woman posted a video on her page, in which she said that her son had been detained for filming expired goods in various shops and publishing on his YouTube channel.

In her appeal, she asked Lukashenka to deal with the "lawlessness of the police" and said that "this is not the only case, which should be taken into consideration".

However, it was not Lukashenka who reacted to the appeal, but the law enforcers: on March 1, they published a "penitential" video of the woman's son on one of their Telegram channels, where he "confesses" that he had allegedly "forwarded extremist materials from a banned Telegram channel". In addition, the law enforcers said "not to moan and to stink" in the text, probably referring to Liudmila.

Her TikTok video has already been deleted. The law enforcers also "cleaned" her son's Youtube channel. According to human rights activists, his administrative case did not appear in the court schedule.
