A criminal case has been opened in Russia over the collapse of a road bridge in Vyazma, which was repaired in 2023, reported the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. As a result of the accident, a woman died, and trains in the direction of Belarus had to follow the detour.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation noted that the collapsed bridge had been repaired last year.

A criminal case was initiated under the article on negligence (part 2, article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
