CNN: Trump's Allies Believe He Lost In Debate With Harris

The politician failed to make one of the most important arguments against the US vice president.

On Tuesday, September 10, the much-anticipated debate between US presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris took place. Allies of the Republican believe that he lost.

This is reported by CNN.

It is noted that as soon as Trump left the stage, he immediately began to ask those waiting in the viewing room about how the last 90 minutes went. Some praised him to his face, saying he did a ‘great job,’ but that's not what many of them said privately.

Instead, people in Trump's inner circle said what happened on stage was a draw at best and a loss at worst. Some of them were stunned that the former US president was not able to do a better job of implementing the talking points he had prepared against Vice President Harris. Specifically, against her record and policy reversals.

According to two CNN sources, Trump was preparing more for his debate with Harris than he was for his debate with US President Joe Biden this summer. In doing so, he didn't make one of the biggest arguments against the vice president - about why she hasn't fulfilled the promises she's making now in her 3.5 years in office. That surprised many of those who have heard Trump make that argument privately and during the campaign.

In addition, one of the Republican team's people admitted that the former president fell for the bait every time Harris offered it.

CNN writes that although numerous Trump allies described what happened as a ‘missed opportunity,’ they have since started to downplay the overall significance of the debate. People in the Republican's inner circle say that the outcome of the debate won't change his ratings in Pennsylvania.
