The Ukrainian forces recently made minor advances west of the Ukrainian salient in the Kursk region amid ongoing attacks in the area on September 19, the Institute for the Study of War reported in a report on September 19.
Geolocation footage from September 19 shows that Ukrainian forces recently made minor advances east of Veseloye. In turn, Russian sources reported minor advances by the Ukrainian troops in Medvezhye. Chechen Special Forces Akhmat commander Apti Alaudinov said in an interview published on September 19 that Ukrainian forces were attempting to advance near Veseloye. Ukrainian forces were reportedly attacking west of the Ukrainian salient in the area of Novy Put, Obukhivka, and Medvezhye.
Ukrainian forces have recently advanced further on the northern side of the Ukrainian salient in Kursk region and continued attacks in the area on September 19. Geolocated footage released on September 19 shows Ukrainian forces recently advancing southeast of Sheptukhivka and southeast of Naydenov. Ukrainian forces are reported to have attacked within the Ukrainian salient in the areas of Lyubimovka, Obukhivka, Kremyane, and Borki.
Russian sources claim advances west of the Ukrainian salient near Obukhivka and along the edges of the Ukrainian salient southeast of Korenevo and northwest of Lyubimovka, but ISW has found no confirmation.
