Biden Preparing $375 Million Aid Package For Ukraine

The United States is preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine in the amount of $375 million. It is expected to be announced next week.

This was reported by Reuters.

According to officials who spoke on condition of anonymity, the new aid package includes patrol boats, additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), 155mm and 105mm artillery ammunition, Western units and other weapons.

At the same time, the content and size of the package may change in the coming days, before it is signed by US President Joe Biden.

Reuters notes that since the beginning of May 2024, the United States has not sent an aid package to Ukraine worth more than $275 million.

In particular, after the Ukrainian Armed Forces began an operation in the Kursk region, America sent two packages of $125 million each.

At the same time, Reuters recalled that the United States has $5.5 billion left under the presidential authority to reduce weapons for Ukraine. However, it expires this month. In this regard, pro-Ukrainian leaders of the US Congress and the Biden administration are working on an agreement to extend it for a year.
