Minsk Businessman Siarhei Yunchyts To Stand Trial For Donations

Until 2023, Siarhei Yunchyts managed the family company Unico-Dental, which supplies dental materials, instruments and equipment of well-known brands in the industry, Zerkalo found out from the data of the unified state register of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.

According to the dissident.by resource, the businessman was detained during a raid by security forces on the relatives of political prisoners on January 23-24, 2024. He is currently held in pretrial detention center #1.

Siarhei Yunchyts will be tried on October 2 in the Minsk Regional Court. He has been charged under articles for assisting and financing extremist activity, according to the schedule on the Supreme Court website. The man faces up to eight years in prison.

The case will be handled by Judge Alena Kurhanava.
