Chaly: Lukashenka Started Talking About Health For A Reason

The Belarusian dictator is a superstitious person.

Analyst Siarhei Chaly believes that Lukashenka may not run for another term. He shared this opinion on the air of “Ordinary Morning”:

“Lukashenka has run out of fruitful ideas.

It cannot be denied that he came to power with an idea. He really wanted to bring back Stalinism. He succeeded in this in the political sphere, in the aesthetic sphere too, and in the economy — almost.

Remember, he said, we have had enough of the market, the state can work no worse. This was his whole task, he tried all his life to prove that the state can work no worse.

But in 2011, when the crisis happened, it became clear that this was not working. Then he came up with the idea of comprehensive modernization, which in fact did not solve anything, it was like putting out a fire with gasoline.

This modernization ended with the crisis of 2015-16 with a hybrid devaluation of 30%. And that's where the ideas ended. After that, Lukashenka was left only with flower beds, handicrafts, etc.

And his most important message today: let's do something ourselves, you've been spoiled, the population has become too expensive for the monarch.

And plus, and this is completely obvious, there is a health factor. This is especially noticeable now. Have you heard how he talks about health?

When he was telling in his historical homeland why he was tired, the phrase "Imagine how many people hate me" first appeared. He said it straight out.

Of course, he understands and feels this, and, as a superstitious person, he knows that these things do not just pass,” says Chaly.
