Media: ‘DPR’ Military Opened Fire On Russians

They did not want to attack Ukrainian positions.

A shootout took place between Russian military personnel in the Kurakhove area, resulting in the deaths of nine people. But the incident did not end there, writes the “Kremlin Snuffbox” Telegram channel, citing sources in the Russian Defense Ministry and among the occupiers.

The channel's sources among the military who are currently in the “DPR” reported that the conflict continues.

There were seven natives of the Donbas who did not want to attack Ukrainian positions, and opened fire on their own.

“Three of them were killed on the spot. Four managed to desert. They have not yet been detained,” one of the military personnel said.

The public was also told that the deserters carried out several armed attacks on Russian military personnel. One of them occurred near Donetsk. As a result of these attacks, six soldiers were killed, including one officer. There are suspicions that the fugitives have cooperated with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but there is no evidence of this yet.

There is a certain deterioration in relations between some local soldiers and those who came from other regions of the Russian Federation to liberate the “DPR”. “Some locals say that “Russian alcoholics were not invited here.” And they claim, completely without any basis, that they pity the visiting fighters, and the locals, as they say, “are sent to carry out meaty assaults”. The visiting fighters grumble from time to time, calling the locals looters, slackers and cowards, who without them would have been shot long ago. The conflict is not very big at the moment, I think we will not let it grow,” said a source familiar with the situation.
