Macron: Russia Will Have To Pay For Refusing To Negotiate

The President of France revealed the details of the conversation with Zelensky.

French President Emmanuel Macron has said that Russia will be held responsible if it continues to refuse peace talks on Ukraine.

He said this after a conversation with President Vladimir Zelensky, according to a statement released on Sunday, "European Pravda".

Macron said: while the agreement reached in Gaza offers hope for peace in the Middle East, the war in Ukraine must also end.

"If Russia continues its military stubbornness and refuses to sit down at the negotiating table, it will have to pay the price," Macron stressed.

The French president condemned Russia's new massive strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, which he said were effectively targeting civilians ahead of winter.

Macron stressed that France, together with its partners, was considering ways to help Ukraine rebuild damaged facilities and provide for the basic needs of the population.
